Professionals along the Emerald Coast have a passion for tourism and innovation, which is why the Emerald Coast Film Commission made it a point to attend the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism 2016 in Orlando, Florida. The conference was held from September 7-9 at the Hilton Orlando. It was an insightful three day event put on by Visit Florida, the official Tourism Marketing Corporation of Florida. The conference is an outstanding educational conference bringing forward ideas and tips to implement into Florida businesses focused on tourism.
With a special emphasis on the film, TV and digital media industry in Florida, the Film Florida organization participated in the conference for the third year in a row. Film Florida also had the honor of presenting the Film Florida Legends Tourism Ambassador Award to actress Sharon Gless at the Chairman’s dinner. The film industry is proud to be represented at this impactful conference as we continue to bring awareness and tourism opportunities to the state of Florida and the Emerald Coast in particular.
